THE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Hello Loves!
Even though we are a bit blurry eyed right now,
I wanted to journal our celebratory night
in Uptown Dallas this weekend
while celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary.
It was a gorgeous November day in Dallas.......
let the adventure begin!

As we checked in, we
were met by lovely hosts who poured us a glass
of wine.......

The chandelier was breathtaking.....

The artwork throughout the hotel was
certainly a conversation starter.....

We enjoyed a glass of Rosé
in one of the many seating areas.

This boutique hotel is eclectic to say the least!

The weather was cool and very breezy
as we enjoyed some relaxation and people watching
on the balcony overlooking Uptown.

This was our first visit to The ZaZa, but
one of our sons had celebrated one of his anniversary's here.

It was lovely to have all the amenities offered listed
in their own personal storybook.....

As the sunset, and night approached,
it was time for the party to begin!

This was the perfect occasion to dress for an evening out
on the town.....which, we don't do very often.

The Dragonfly was packed and LOUD....
we decided to go on to our restaurant
and enjoy cocktails in a quieter environment......

Even though the restaurant was within walking distance,
we chose to take the courtesy car service both to and from dinner...
too cold and windy to walk.....

I love it when my cocktail matches my outfit......

Three Martini's......so pretty and delish!

Dinner was lovely with appetizers, steaks, seafood and sides....
yum-o........

Now, comes the issue....
THE PARTY THAT LASTED UNTIL SUN-UP....
directly across from our suite.....
LOUD MUSIC AND PEOPLE ALL NIGHT LONG.........
It was a fun adventure, but lack of sleep just was not planned
to be part of our special evening....
too old for that anymore.....
but, we enjoyed the adventure nonetheless....

Happy Anniversary Darling......

  1. Happy anniversary to you and your charming husband. That sounded like a perfect evening to celebrate. I may have asked to be moved to the other side of the hotel...:) I would have loved seeing your evening clothes...the color of the purse and wrap looked pretty. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  2. Congratulations on 45 years together! A good reason to get away, dress up, and feel special. Maybe the sleepless night made coming home that much better. Go to bed early tonight and enjoy the quiet! Sweet dreams

Amber and Mike have stayed at that hotel several times. Amber is a freelance writer and has done a few features on it for Dallas magazine. It looks like you had a most elegant evening!! Now you can go home and catch up on your sleep!!
