ASPARAGUS TART....PERFECT FOR MOTHER'S DAY!

Oh my darlings....you are simply going to
LUV THIS!!!
I promise you, this is a
MUST TRY RECIPE!

ASPARAGUS TART
1 puff pasty sheet
1 large egg, beaten
1 bunch of fresh asparagus
1/4 to 1/2 cup fresh Parmesan cheese,shredded
3/4 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded
3/4 T. red pepper flakes
Fresh lemon zest

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Roll out puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface
to form a rectangle.
Score each edge with a knife about 1 inch from the edge.
Be careful not to cut through the pastry.
Fold the edge to form a little seal around the entire sheet.

Combine the shredded cheeses and pepper flakes together.
Sprinkle one half of the cheese/pepper mixture over the pastry sheet.
Layer the fresh washed asparagus over the cheeses.
Alternate the asparagus tips toward each edge of the tart.

Sprinkle the other half of the cheese/pepper mixture over the asparagus.
Bake on a cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
Zest 1/2 of a fresh lemon over hot tart.
This tart slices nicely using a pizza cutter.

This recipe would be marvelous for a brunch or
ladies luncheon.

Wishing each of you a very
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
