CHRISTMAS IN THE DINING ROOM...TIME TO CELEBRATE

A new Christmas wreath which was on clearance at Home Depot.
Miss M got one too.....we each got the last one.
Love it! Beautiful at night with LED lights!

Now, onto the dining room!

From grand parties to impromptu potlucks, you will want to
have everything on hand for the festive event!

My Daddy made his homemade fruitcake cookies every year!
In keeping with my theme of an Old-Fashioned Christmas,
I plan on baking cookies with his hand written recipe this year.
Even if you don't care for fruitcake,
those cookies were really something we looked forward to!

My deer obsession is showing up in quite a few places!

I plan to fill both cookie jars with some of the best home baked cookies!
What's your family's favorites? Would you be able to share your recipe?

Have you noticed that owls are becoming a big part of Christmas decor?
 I am loving them!

I hope Santa leaves me a snowy white owl ornament in my stocking!

I'll just bet Santa cannot pass this up...
he'll probably stop and take a peek  to see what homemade goodies await him inside!

I simply was stunned at how beautiful these cookie jars are.
I believe these additions to our holiday home are my all time favorites this year!

It's lovely to set up a holiday spread on your beautifully decorated sideboard or buffet.

Make your Christmas dinner party as magical as the season it celebrates....
delectable food, comfortable seating and a welcoming table!

    1. Why thank you Glenda! How wonderful to have heirloom china! You're a lucky girl. Believe it or not, this pattern is a Better Homes and Garden set from Wal-Mart. I first saw it last year on Susan's blog Between Naps on the Porch. I was so thrilled they had come out with a new pattern this year! I am so glad you stopped by today! Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!!

  7. Hi Estelle! I don't believe that I've ever visited your blog but I saw your link on BNOTP. I recognized your beautiful Mary Lake Thompson napkins because I just did a tablescape using another design of hers! We must like a lot of the same things as you mentioned fruitcake cookies. My sister-in-law makes them every year and I cannot wait until I taste them again! Nice to meet you!
