WHIMSY IN THE KITCHEN AND CHOCOLATE PEANUT CLUSTERS!

A little corner to remember
Grandmother Grace and Grandmother Estelle..
Rosemary for remembrance.

I adore this red bread box....this was a gift last year from Miss Elizabeth and
it was chocked full of English muffins.
I so want to make some sort of arrangement in this next year!

One of my favorite Santa's.
I love pairing him with toile.

The Gingerbread house...
you should see this at night all lit up...
so sweet!

Miss M and I have matching Santa plates!

I remember one year collecting all snowmen...
they are such happy little characters!

What's your preference?
Santa's or Snowmen?

Have you made your Christmas candy this year?
I used to always, always make
Martha Washington Balls with Grandmother Grace,
along with Buckeyes for Daddy,
Mamie Eisenhower Fudge with Mother
and
Divinity with Grandmother Estelle.

This year, I have chosen these
divine Peanut Clusters
which are made in the Slow Cooker.....
oh.....my....lawd......

Chocolate Peanut Clusters

2 lbs. white almond bark
4 ounces German Chocolate Bar
12 ounce bag Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
24 ounces dry roasted peanuts

Add all ingredients to a slow cooker. Set to LOW and allow
to cook for 1 hour. After an hour, stir to combine the chocolate
and the peanuts. Allow to cook for another hour, stirring ever so often.
Drop by teaspoons onto wax paper and allow to cool completely.
Store in air tight container.

My Christmas Diva....

  5. Looking charming over here as usual. Your grand is going to love all the festive touches. I am grinning at the advice I see in your sidebar under "Catnapping." Alas, it's time to prepare supper so I have missed my opportunity. I made the candy one year and burned it. Apparently, my crockpot runs too hot.
