CHRISTMAS KITCHEN

I always have to choose a tablescape theme based on one or two
items that create an image for me.
I have been enjoying these wooden lanterns all the way through
the fall season, and decided they could be easily used as a
centerpiece for our farmhouse kitchen table.
They are perfect for my VPH lighted wax Christmas trees.

I chose this gorgeous woodland themed wired ribbon
to create funky bow toppers.

I came across this gorgeous table runner with a woodland
theme which was to be the perfect accent for the green
tablecloth I had used for a party back in September.
I even sent a photo of this to Miss M.....who fell in love with it too
so quickly ordered one for her home.

I have a slight obsession with deer and reindeer, so this theme
always draws me in immediately.
I love the way this came together.
The trees give a soft glow in the evening tucked inside each lantern.

I remember picking up this beautiful wax Christmas tree candle
last year on clearance.
I also chose to display my mother-in-law's little brass deer
with this tablescape....perfect....and an heirloom from our past.

I purchased the matching napkins and layered
ivory dinnerware by using my snowman
Williams-Sonoma plates.

We have really enjoyed this tablescape...
it reminds me of the quiet of winter days while living in Maine...
it's rather soft and peaceful.

Don't you enjoy mixing old and new together?

I hope you are enjoying the days of December.
Sometimes Christmas days are different and not always
gay and festive, but as my dearest sister says....you just make the best of it.

  6. So beautiful and such a peaceful woodland tablescape! Would you share the information about the runner and napkins? I would appreciate it, as I seem to be loving the different deer-related items in decor, beginning last year and continuing this year. Almost bought the VPH trees a few weeks ago. Now wishing I had! Your lanterns are wonderful, too!

  7. That table runner made me look twice! I thought actual wooden disks had been wood burned, but I see that it is instead a graphic imprinted on the runner. Very sweet and everything you’ve chosen complements it beautifully. I can see why it reminds you of Maine.
