A WINTER VIGNETTE

It may be a very good thing, to look around your home and see what reminds you of Winter.
Something that brings a smile to your face and something to brighten your days.

After all the Chrismas decor has been packed away,
it's still a fun thing to bring out touches of your favorite pieces
that will allow you to be creative in your favorite nooks and crannys!

I have always loved these little vintage children!
They are sparkly in the most gorgeous of jewel tones!

I thought they would look more interesting when
perched on upside down mercury glass candleholders!
Varying heights always look good in a centerpiece!

The little glass trees can easily transfer into the old man winter months....
just as we used to see at The Maine House in our own woodlands.

 Scarves, woolen hats and mittens....
What a fun way to chase away the winter blues..

What way do you find to chase away the cold weather doldrums
that help you brighten and refresh?

This is where Miss Mae prefers to spend her days!
Baby it's cold outside and wrapped up in a furry blanket makes her feel safe, warm and loved.
We saw a bunny today scamper across the patio,,,,his little ears looked so cold.
Where o where do they find warmth during these cold months?
Thank you for visiting Estelle's today!
Where you live, I hope you are staying close by the fireside!

  2. What an absolutely beautiful display~and so inspiring! I tend to go overboard clearing & cleaning after the holidays & everything looks too bare & sterile. After seeing your displays I want to 'warm things up' with vignettes of my own. I have lots of Irish pottery that I've collected over the years & I think I'll work on new ways to display the pieces. I am curious though about your figurines~do you know the maker? The colors are so warm & rich. As always a thoroughly enjoyable visit to your wonderful blog. Thank you!

    1. You are so sweet Debi to visit me and leave such a kind comment! These little figurines were a collection I found at Stein Mart many years ago. It's one of those little treasures I just love, but probably were not terribly expensive! They are so sweet aren't they? I know they are Christmas decor, but felt they also represented the winter snowy months! Thank you SO much for stopping by to visit and am encouraged you enjoy my posts! Hugs!
