There is one thing you can be certain of.....
April Showers!
Spring Break for some of us has held true to those old sayings of "April showers!" We have experienced a few warm days with sunshine, but for the most part.....it has been cold, rainy and dreary!
ESTELLE'S APPLE BROWNIES
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups chopped apple ( 2 medium sized apples)
1/2 cup walnuts, optional
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 T. cinnamon
Grease a 9″ X 9" square baking dish. In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, sugar and eggs. Stir in the apples and nuts. Mix in the dry ingredients and then spread into the baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees f. for 35-40 minutes.
Great photos. Love all the puddle jumping. That is a great shot of the cats. Are they ones you know? So cute. I love anything apple so this is a recipe I will keep. Thanks so much. Deb
ReplyDeleteYou will enjoy this little recipe Deb...warm right out of the oven....Love the cats too...but no, I am not certain who to give credit for the photography, but it's a magnificent picture...of course, it reminded me of Mae....so precious!
DeleteSounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteWe've had a bit of snow and rain in the nights, but not too much. It makes gradually melting the snow much more orderly that way.
Thank you William.....welcome to Estelle's! Melting snow lasted until the end of May in Maine....we were so ready for that beautiful Spring and it never failed to disappoint!
