A Picnic Showstopper!

Summer is not over yet.....whether it be spring, summer or autumn.....these are perfect seasons to pack some delectable food...and explore a nearby park...don't scrimp on style and elegance when dining in the park! Food always tastes better outside for some reason. Perhaps it heightens our senses...sights, smells and tastes! Make your picnic a showstopper that's as fine as any indoor dining experience.

We love to pack a meal and escape to a local park near the bay, the lake, coastline or outdoor concert. Keep the romance in the family by replacing paper and plastic for china, silver, crystal and linens. Quilts make for a perfect tablecloth and sitting area. Include a centerpiece such as fresh flowers or an iron candelabra. Large cushy pillows make for comfortable lounging under a shady tree or a blanket of stars and La Luna!

A picnic can be easy and elegant and need never involve complicated food preparation. Isn't that the purpose for relaxing in the park on the weekend? Or destressing from a long workday? Begin by visiting one of your local deli's or specialty wholefood markets. Shop for one of your favorite chicken salads, a variety of cheeses and baguettes, colorful pasta salads, delectible berries and a mouthwatering pie. Always include a quality bottle of wine selecting both a hearty red and crisp white.

Instead of wrapping sandwhiches just in baggies, go a step further....wrap each sandwhich in colorful paper and secure with a gingham ribbon.Your family will love this!

Let your imagination guide you.....enjoy your outdoor escapade...make it luxurious and comfortable!
