Good Morning Kindred Spirits..
There are some days, when you feel yourself
a tiny bit blue or life throws a few difficulties your way,
and you discover you are bit down...
There are ways to embrace the Christmas joy
and chase those blues away...
for me, it was waking up early
in the morning, and
decorating the piano for Christmas!
These are a few photos from years past....
I like to have a theme in mind when deciding how
I want the piano to look and display particular pieces
that will be featured in our formal living room....
Last year I chose to feature my beautiful thrifted
Nativity which I purchased from EbAY....

This is just beautiful and very heavy.
So, a Nativity theme was going to be the right
decorations for 2024....
My purpose in this was to have
four unique Nativity sets so that each of our
children would inherit the set they preferred
and remember when it was a part of their Christmas at home....

I an so pleased with the theme this year and how it all came together....
It is peaceful and brings forth the message that favorite
Christmas hymns bring to us....
Hark the Herald Angels Sing...Glory to the Newborn King
Joy to the World
The First Noel
and
Silent Night....Holy Night

It is beautiful!!! I am doing a little of the same things you are doing. Gifting my children with special Christmas decorations from their childhoods. My son, Jesse, got the Yule Log I hung up every year since he was born as well as the nutcrackers from when he helped choose them. Summer went home with 15 tubs of decorations - some from the 1960's and nearly all my snowmen things. It snows in Arkansas and I knew she would love to decorate the guest cabins there for the Christmas season! I am still three rooms to go before I can say it's DONE! But I did finish my Christmas cards today!
ReplyDeleteYour piano looks so lovely with the Nativity set and the greenery draping over it. I sure miss playing the piano. I took lessons when I was a young girl, but can only play a couple songs to this day. The collection of Christmas carols is the perfect touch for your piano. I love that ceramic tree with the colored lights from your past theme too.
