ITALIAN SKILLET PASTA

This pasta is SO good and SO easy to prepare!
After a weekend of traveling,

we still want to prepare a good dinner
for Sunday night.
This was on the menu at Estelle's
and
it certainly made the darling a happy camper!
I told the Divine Miss M I would
share how I made it....
so here you are!

ITALIAN SKILLET PASTA
1 lb. Sweet Italian Sausage
¼ cup green pepper, diced
1 jar Marinara sauce
(Estelle’s uses Del Grosso Sunday Marinara)
½ lb. lasagna noodles
1 (8 ounce) carton of Ricotta Cheese
1 lb. Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
½ cup Parmesan Cheese
2 t. Italian seasoning
¼ cup water

Brown the sweet Italian sausage in a medium sized skillet. Add the green pepper and continue to brown.
Pour 1/3 cup of a good Marinara sauce over browned sausage and peppers. Break about 3 lasagna noodles over this mixture. Spoon ½ of the ricotta cheese evenly in large spoonful’s over the noodles. Sprinkle ½ of the shredded Mozzarella over this. Then sprinkle ¼ cup Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over all. Break the second round of 3 lasagna noodles, then repeat with sauce, cheeses and Italian seasonings. Pour the water around edges and evenly over the top. Cover and simmer for about 25-30 minutes until lasagna noodles are el dente.
