Bring back a classic!
Talk about good!
This is THE Dr. Pepper Cake...you've heard about it for years!
Did you ever bake one?
THE CAKE
1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 small box of instant vanilla pudding
2/3 cup oil
4 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 12- ounce can or bottle of Dr. Pepper
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, combine the first three ingredients.
Add the eggs, one at a time and mix well with hand mixer.
Finally, add the vanilla and Dr. Pepper and blend.
Pour into prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
The Frosting
1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened
1 stick of butter, room temp
1/4 cup cocoa
1 t. vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and softened butter.
Blend well with powdered sugar and add vanilla.
Frost the cooled cake!

my husband discovered "Dr. Pepper" years ago, when he was in the Army Reserve and was stationed in the South. guess we up north, did not have it yet. :-)

Dr. Pepper is probably only served down south....the Northern states seemed to be partial to "Pepsi!" Especially in Maine...hard to find a "coke" anywhere! Yes. this is a fabulous chooclate cake! I think your husband would love it!
