FRENCH COUNTRY FOR SPRING

While living in Maine, we often made day trips into
 Boston to shop and dine!
One of my all time favorite stores was Pierre Deux!
If you are drawn to French Country decor,
then you would be in heaven!

The colors of French Country…..I LOVE them! I find this style welcoming and quaint! So, it’s with Pierre Deux in mind that I settled on my spring style for our home! New dinnerware from Pfaltzgraff is on order and in the meantime, I am having a ball selecting little accent items along the way! And…..I am doing it all on a bargain shopping budget!

Nothing in home decor says French country more than blues and yellows.  They even look great peppered with red accents.
It's all so welcoming and quaint!

A trip to Home Goods and Target always makes me a happy girl!
Always! I love table linens, especially table runners, place mats and linen napkins!
This was my newest find at Home Goods!
A linen table runner stitched in this blue quote....I think they made it just for me!

I used to deplore melamine dinnerware!
However, last summer I changed my thoughts on this!
They now come in beautiful patterns and colors!
We entertain alot by the pool during most of the year and
these types of platters and plates make it beautiful,
yet no need to worry about breakage!
This sweet little platter of lemon yellow was my clearance find at Target!

Another Home Goods find!
This darling tea pot for one and the little creamer were just the
type of table accents I was looking for.
I decorate with roosters in little nooks and crannies of the kitchen,
so these just spoke French Country to me.

They are of the Ricamo pattern from  Fitz and Floyd
and both were on clearance!

Now THIS I love!
A petite little butter dish....clearance isle at Target....for $3.00!
Precious!

Ralph Lauren linen toile napkins at Home Goods!

This new Gooseberry Patch cookbook is NOT part of the French Country look, but it is part of my new bargain finds.....it was a penny on Amazon, but I did pay $3.99 S&H...that's OK....it was just one cent y'all! I love, love, love Gooseberry Patch books!

Another blue platter on clearance at Target....$3.00.
It's such a perfect color of blue for what I was looking for!

All in all, I'm a pretty happy girl right now!
I am looking forward to Spring, arent' you?
What's your new look for Spring and Summer?
I would love to hear all about it!

  2. Beautiful for Spring!

I haven't been to HomeGoods for a while. I think I need to take a trip! I love the freshness of spring! Looking out at our snow, I am thinking of green things again, but I am enjoying this season as well. Makes Spring all the more welcome when it does come!

  4. Hello, I also love french country! And my kitchen is done in all those colors and I have blue and red and a few roosters! Mostly yelloes and golds! I am just now looking for material to make curtains to match my wild new chair coverings!
The kitchen is the heart of our homes.... I would love to go visit that store! But I think getting there with this storm would be tough and cold! Lovely great finds! Lets go shopping :o)
