Grill It...Before the Snow Falls!

The Maine House has been fortunate for entering the month of December. Unseasonably warm temperatures are being enjoyed which presents a perfect opportunity to spend a Saturday night on the deck, light up the firepit, sit under the moon with a glass of chardonnay and grill up some steaks! I think this is Darling's most favorite activity. So, before our grill and deck look like this.......

And the backwoods look like this.....

You can find us savoring the season "outside" at The Maine House!

Marinated New York Strip Steaks
1/2 bottle liquid smoke (approximately 2 oz.)
1/2 bottle A.1. steak sauce (approximately 8 oz.)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup Extra Virgin olive oil
1/4 cup red wine
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
4 to 8, 12-oz. New York strip steaks

In a large container with a lid, combine all marinade ingredients (through the salt) until well incorporated. Coat the steaks, and allow to marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. Remove the steaks from the marinade and cook over a hot grill, approximately 4 — 6 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is achieved. Ready to serve!
