EASTER DINNER 2022

Good Monday Morning Loves....
I sure hope all is well in your corner of the world this morning!
I am so looking forward to visiting my favorite blogs today
and reading about your Easter weekend!
Ours was peaceful, the weather was pretty good,
and we missed our normal family gathering.
It just becomes a bit harder as we grow older
and the children are scattered in different cities and states!
Here are a few snippets from Atlanta and Texas......

This is a few years ago when Luke was younger
and delighted in the Easter Egg hunt....just so precious.....

Miss M did dye Easter eggs this year with her Luke the Duke,
but discovered it was a bit more fun when he was younger...
you know how teens can sometimes be a bit challenging.....

She did set a beautiful table in the dining room

which was going to feature a baked ham,
Elinor's Mac N' Cheese, Brussels Sprouts and Red Velvet Cupcakes!

Most of the day, here in Texas was overcast, cloudy and cool,
but later in the afternoon, the sun came out and we
enjoyed sitting by the pool and listening to nature....

You know, Estelle's is all about featuring Southern foods....
so here is the menu for Easter dinner.....

I used my favorite Deviled Egg Plate which
I think makes a beautiful presentation.....

I also brought out this beautiful vintage vegetable
dish which belonged to my Father.....
a patient gave this to him when we lived
in Vicksburg for the care he gave a family member.....

Just a bit of Easter whimsy.....

Pretty paper napkins.....

The Lemon Bars......

Time to eat......

We are thankful and blessed for so many things....
our health, our family, our home, our friends and
most of all, for our faith in the Lord......

That's a wrap for April....see y'all in May!

  1. Gathering does get challenging when our kids are grown! We had four of our six here this year, and I was thankful. We ate ham, potato salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, rolls, lemon cupcakes, and key lime pie! It was good.

You always set a beautiful table and I'm glad to see you do it just for the two of you as well. So important, I think.

  2. You're taking a break? Well good for you. Perhaps this means some travel for you. I enjoyed seeing the Easter tables, Had to laugh over how much more fun youngsters are when little. Teenage years are filled with "too cool for school" attitudes for sure. My Easter table was empty; however, I did join my daughter at a local restaurant for a steak dinner. That was fun. Enjoy your time off!

  4. My 14 year old grandson is "too cool for school" too! Our menu was pretty much just like Deanna's, but we have a Polish tradition of having fresh kielbasa for every holiday. Dottie, our 18 month old, ate 6 pieces! We had great weather so were able to chase her all over the yard. And then yesterday, we had 2 inches of snow! I love your divided vegetable dish. What a wonderful memory. Have a fun time on your break. See you in May.

  6. Beautiful! And that's one delicious looking plate of food there. I can almost taste it! Hubby and I didn't have an Easter dinner this year as I've been fighting a UTI...and it's been winning. Ha! I enjoyed this post so much especially seeing those lovely vintage dishes. So very special and a real treasure to you I'm sure. Thanks for this and all your wonderful posts!

  8. So sweet! So warm! I love visiting you and seeing all of your pretties! And good food too!
We were alone this yr which put me into a bit of a funk. I have such wonderful memories of Easters with my lil boys growing up…little bittersweet. Love having them with us but happy that they’re making memories with their own children too!
