We have been anxiously awaiting these few days in February
when Miss M and Luke arrived back in Dallas from Atlanta.
They had a late arrival, so I planned on having a late light dinner.
I prepared this marvelous, delicious Red Velvet cake....I must share
the recipe at a later date as it was moist and decadent!
This was a jammed packed visit in a few short days...
we were on the go from the time they landed.
How marvelous to wake up and have morning coffee with our girl!
Luke is growing up before our eyes...he's almost as tall as I am now!
I love having him try a cereal that he has not tried
as a special treat from Grandma's kitchen....served
in a fun little cereal bowl!
Luke always wakes up with a big smile on his face which
makes my heart sing....
He currently is studying the Civil War and was learning about
Harriet Tubman.
I bought him this beautifully illustrated book
about Harriet which tells about her life and her triumphs.
Luke was going to spend the night with his Uncle Nick
so we drove over to Southlake to meet for lunch...
siblings back together again.
We then drove to Keller to see Miss M's home she
and Jay had built some years ago.
We were pleased the neighborhood has held up well
and the home seemed to be taken care of....not as pretty
as they had it, but still well preserved.

Saturday we were off to the theater in Fort Worth.....
We were ALL so excited to see this Broadway performance
of Jersey Boys!
Excitement was in the air as everyone was arriving at the theater...
Luke looked adorable and was just in awe of the venue...
he said, " this is so beautiful, I feel like I'm at The White House!"
I know this was a treat for both of them!
We loved having our daughter home....if only they lived closer....
Luke and his Papa....right before the performance....
We were so glad to have this experience with our youngest grandchild.
I love watching everyone enter the theater and take their seats.....it gives everyone a chance
to take in all the beautiful features that surround you....
We talked about all the beautiful architecture and located
the Orchestra level....
I will say the performance was amazing...
marvelous, marvelous singing and dancing...
what a story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons....
Then it was on to the cocktail hour and meeting up
with Nick and family..
Abbie drove home from college so she could spend time
with her favorite aunt.

Eddie V's is where Nick proposed to Catherine..
such a romantic....
We had not made reservations anywhere for dinner
and probably should have.....everyplace was packed to the brim...
We ended up at The Woodshed and by this time
everyone was very HUNGRY......
It was a beautiful day all around.....
It was Sunday and the livin' was easy....
Papa taught Luke the fine art of boiling peanuts...
a southern tradition!
Oh these kiddos.....
they put the HAPPY in Happy Hour!
Another wonderful visit...memories made!!!!
