A FIVE DOLLAR BOUQUET AND LEMON CHICKEN PERHAPS.....

Hello LOVES.....how is the summer going for you?
Can you believe June is almost in our rear view mirror?
Isn't it funny when you realize how much happiness a five dollar
store-bought bouquet of flowers can bring to you?
I decided to change the look and make a smaller arrangement today.

Do you love snapdragons as much as I do?

I rearranged Mother's sideboard buffet to prepare
for the upcoming holidays....
these are just some of Grandmother Estelle's antique linens.....

I am trying out a new Lemon Chicken recipe for dinner tonight...
seems like a perfect dish for summer, don't you think?

I plan on trying David's recipe for his Coconut Cream Tart
made with crushed vanilla wafers and a rich vanilla custard.....divine....

Hope you all are having a great week.....
Mae Mobley sends hugs....

  2. Just like a quick visit over the back fence. Love Grandmother Estelle's table linens...wonderful quality and design from another time. They don't make them that way anymore! Happy holiday baking, Betsy. It's all going to be so tasty.

  3. Oh those antique linens are GORGEOUS, Betsy!! Yes, I do love snapdragons; they've long been a favorite of mine. They never fail to remind me of an English cottage garden. :) I love the shades of pink you've selected; you must be a lover of pink like me.

Your menu looks delicious! You'll have to share the chicken recipe with us. ;) Have a great weekend.

    Hugs,

  4. Those dishes sound and look amazing! I always rearrange the flowers, as some die off, I refresh the others and keep them around as long as possible!
