FALL AT HOME....FINISHING TOUCHES

I know there are some, who prefer
neutral shades for fall...

but not me!
The colors of autumn are glorious...

I am very drawn to wrapping us in
the shades of auburn and rust, olive greens and deep purples!

Pumpkins are beginning to turn up in every nook and cranny.
Y'all come on in and take in the sights and aromas of fall......

The candy jar is filling up with all sorts of autumn delights.....

There is no mistaking that we are welcoming the fall season....
Mae has a new spot to enjoy the afternoon sunbeams....

The kitchen smells of apples, cinnamon and spice!

A small addition of a new seasonal plate......

Fall brings forth acorns, berries and falling leaves....

Ahhhhh...comfy cozy pillows and throws...

Time for big pot of vegetable soup
and
football weekends...

It's a glorious time of year, isn't it?

“I would rather sit on a pumpkin,
and have it all to myself,
than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”
~Henry David Thoreau

  1. Such beautiful things you have. I love the fall and look forward to all the vibrant colors. However since it is 98* here today, it doesn't feel very fall like. I'm waiting a couple of weeks to put my things out. Your home is lovely though and very inspiring.

  4. 🍂 Well fall sure looks great at your place. But, really, did you have to tell me about the Lindor chocolates? They are so interesting a flavor that I shall have to try one if they are available here. Autumn colors are happy colors in my world, too. 🍁

    1. Hi Vee....Oh yes...you are certain to have a gorgeous fall! Nothing prettier than Maine during these months. I love Lindor chocolates. The pumpkin is very mild...not overpowering at all. Have a lovely weekend and thanks for visiting me today! Hugs!

  5. Your Autumn decor is teasing me today, Betsy. Your pillows, dishes and doormat look so charming in your home. Such cozy pieces to usher in my favorite time of the year. We are so hot and humid still, supposed to reach 98 today. I have picked hydrangea blooms for the dining table and put up a fall wreath in the Florida room. The leaves on the black gum are turning a lovely red, so it won't be long now. Have a nice weekend. ♥

    1. We lived in Florida for seven years Martha Ellen..very little as far as change of seasons....Christmas shopping in shorts! However, if I waited until the weather became Fall-like here in Texas...it would be Chritmas already! Just have fun with what you enjoy!

    2. Betsy, we live in Virginia. I was speaking about our Florida room in our home. It's a room that has eleven windows--hence a sunny Florida room. I'm so glad we live where there is a distinct change of the season. ♥
