AN AUSTIN BIRTHDAY PARTY

Today marks a VERY SPECIAL FAMILY BIRTHDAY~
It's the baby of the family's special day!
We decided to take the party down to Austin to celebrate!

I LOVE the road down to Austin....
it brings back so many fun memories of soccer days....

West, Waco, Temple.....

We swing by his apartment to pick him up for lunch....

The darling had been craving some delicious fried chicken,
so it was on to Lucy's!

If you have never been to Austin...
it is a melting pot of eclectic people!

You just never know who you will run into......
Willie must love southern soul food too!

It is ALWAYS good to see your kiddos!

Mmmmm....Mmmmmm.
excuse us while we enjoy this delicious lunch!

Time to check in the hotel and rest a bit
before we enjoy the cocktail hour in the hotel lounge.

This is a bit of the local scenery walking down to dinner....

People and music everywhere...
just enjoying a beautiful Saturday night!

We decided to return to Perla's.....it was THAT good!

We love this place...
great service and delicious food!

I was feeling a bit of Sex and the City, so
a Cosmopolitan was first up.....

Cocktails and fresh oysters....

How cute are these bartenders?
Personality plus....
busy, busy, busy.....

Dinner was delicious.....
time for a round of Happy Birthday.....

I think he really enjoyed his celebration.....

We met for breakfast at Red's Porch
and of course...begin Sunday morning brunch
with a carafe of Mimosa's!

So long Austin...
until next time.....
the real party begins Thursday,
when the birthday boy and his buddies
fly out to Colorado for hiking and brewery tours....
Happy Birthday Rob!!!!

  1. Happy Birthday to Rob! My younger daughter turns 28 tomorrow. She also lives in Austin. We'll have to try some of these restaurants you mentioned. Have a great day!

  3. Love Perla's. Austin is full of restaurants! I'm going to miss it all when we move. Happy birthday to your son. He's a year older than mine. (He just turned 29 in August). And he picked Perla's for his bday dinner! :o)
