GERMAN CHOCOLATE CHIP BUNDT CAKE WITH BOURBON VANILLA GLAZE

We honor Memorial Day
and
are so very grateful for everyone who
bravely served and gave their life for our country and our freedom.

We are going to have a small family gathering
and
prepare a good southern barbecue!

What's on the menu for this Memorial Day 2016?
Smoked ribs and brisket
Skillet fried corn
Baked Beans
Green Beans
Dinner Rolls
Deviled Eggs
and
German Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

Bourbon Vanilla Glaze

This tried and true recipe can be made
with a vanilla, yellow or chocolate cake mix!
Some version of this is always at a holiday meal!

Mix first 7 ingredients together in mixing bowl.
Beat at medium speed for two minutes.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Pour into a prepared bundt pan.
Bake in preheated 350 degrees F.
for 40 minutes.
Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes before inverting
on cake plate.
Glaze while cake is slightly warm.

 Bourbon Vanilla Glaze
1 1/2 T. butter, melted
1 cup powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla
2 t. bourbon
