We are often asked what it was like when we lived in Maine.
Two southerners moving from Texas
up to a small New England village
right smack dab in the beginning of Winter.
This was the entrance to our neighborhood.
We had chosen our home during October.
We moved the week before Christmas.
I fell instantly in love with our Maine House.
It was a big colonial style home with
beautiful light and perfect coastal colors.
This was my kitchen and I absolutely loved it.
Our views out the kitchen window were often magical...
squirrels, wild turkeys, deer, raccoons, mallard ducks, fox
and
a nighttime visit from a Moose!
I remember the very day this picture was taken
We were heading back to Texas
and
setting the stage for the "showing."
It was Christmas when our house went on the market.
We worried about trying to sell our home
during the winter months.
I loved the tile backsplash!
Those are my two little Moose on the windowsill....
I must remember to look for those...
I haven't seen them since we moved back home.
Sunset on a winter day.
The view out at our woodlands
on a January night.
Mae was watching the snow fall.
She must miss this....
all her woodland friends...
especially Mr. Jimmy.
We did indeed make memories.
Lots of pretty views from the window there in Maine. Cat make me wish I could read their minds. LOL...they are so cute and funny. All my kitchen have been half the size of that one...so that is a dream kitchen to me. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
