BUTTERMILK AND DILL POTATO SALAD.....VOTED BEST AT THE PARTY!

Over in Atlanta. there was a party going on!
The Divine Miss M threw a festive Independence Day celebration at the last minute and did an outstanding job of making things festive for the little ones!

She made Popsicles out of lemonade with a star shaped ice cube made from
pineapple, blueberry and blackberry juice....
how cool and refreshing is that?

of child #3, son#2!
Nick and Cat hosted their second holiday/birthday bash
and
would you believe, I did not take a single picture?

There were relatives and friends  to see and visit with
that we had not seen in  three years.
I can tell you the food was AMAZING,
their home looked gorgeous,
the party was festive and fun
and
everyone had a fabulous time..
We saw fireworks in several towns all the way
home from the interstates...
Magical, I tell you.....

The very best thing I tasted was a hard choice..
Cat makes an amazing brisket
the Lumberjack Baked Beans were fantastic,
there was Greg's fresh Black Bean and Corn Salsa,
in addition to his Yum-O homemade Guacamole,
Shrimp, Mac N' Cheese. Caprese Skewers,
Fresh veggies and stuffed mushrooms....Tres Leche Cake
 from Whole Foods
 ( I don't pronounce this properly.....
it sounds French when I say it and it was clear I do not speak Spanish)

and Elizabeth's Potato Salad...
Good lawd....this was to die for!!!

We are planning to include this for our beach trip...
so wish I brought some leftovers home...

Oh yes.....did I mention there was an oven fire two hours before
their guests of 40 people were
scheduled to arrive...
Ten fireman later....(all ten of them cutie pies)
all was well....
