SOUTHWEST CORN DIP...PERFECT FOR AN AFTERNOON OF RELAXATION!

This is considered our "downtime!" Just look at this peaceful retreat! Who would not want to come home to this green space to unwind and relax? You only hear the sounds from the lake....the birds, sometimes the ducks and an occasional bullfrog croaking! Jenn refers to them as "Lake Cows", since their croaking sounds somewhat like a "moo!"

Bo is always on patrol! I love pictures of dogs or cats in sun puddles! He is so precious and full of energy. The interesting thing to observe in Bo is that he rarely takes his eyes off his Mom and Dad!

This was our contribution to the cookout!
This easy and oh so good Southwestern Corn Dip!
I'll share the recipe with you!
We were all in agreement that this is "darn good!"

Son #1 has become quite the chef! I can learn a thing or two
as I watch him prepare the burgers!
Seasoned to perfection.
Both boys make their burgers entirely different and both are to die for!

See! I told you BoBo is never far from the action!
I think he must be waiting for a tidbit to be thrown his way!

It was cocktail time! Jenn is doing an amazing job of decorating their new home!
It smells wonderful, she has chosen cool accessories and
the coastal theme is perfect as it reflects their loves and personalities!
I just love the layout of their home!

It was such a perfect afternoon, weather wise, so we headed out to listen to some country tunes and relax! Jenn picked up these stunningly beautiful pink peonies at Whole Foods! I should have taken a better picture since they were just gorgeous in that turquoise ball jar! Peonies were my mother's favorite flower so it's always like having her near when I see them. How thoughtful to have fresh flowers for your guest...I just so appreciate that gesture!

A moment of silence......

Squirrel!!!!

Jenn is observing Bo handling his new tether....making sure he is having fun, but safe!

Just a dog......having fun on an afternoon! They are so, "in the moment!"

Time for business.....the pit masters preparing the grill

Just look at this lovely day God gave us!

I think he hears those "lake cows!"

True love!

Seriously! A gorgeous fresh Strawberry Shortcake!!!!

Teamwork! Sprinkling the white chocolate chips over those berries and whipped cream!
What a perfect afternoon on this May Day of 2014!
