Open House!

A Maine House Mosaic

The time has arrived! The Maine House is moving!! Yes, Darling and I are headed back home....to Texas! We received the news the week before Thanksgiving. We were so happy, so thankful and feeling so blessed. There are those of us who deal with living long distances from our family, especially from our children....grown-up children. We cope with long distance relationships of grandchildren and make every attempt to stay involved in their daily lives. Miss M is simply the best at keeping grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in touch with Luke and all of his daily funny sayings and nursery school activities. We have daily phone calls, pictures, skype and emails. Abbs and Noah are growing up too fast. And....we are missing it. Maine has been "THE BEST PLACE WE HAVE EVER LIVED!"...WITHOUT A DOUBT. However, we have been fortunate enough to have an amazing opportunity to go home....to live near the boys and the grandchildren. Once again, family gatherings, family dinners, weekend sports events, out to dinner on Friday nights, and oh yes., the weddings. We are hoping to be home for the weddings. It is truly a wonderful life. Open house is being held at The Maine House on Sunday. We then hit the multiple listings....here's hoping..prayers are being said...I hope a beautiful family with children live here next. It needs the laughter of children here on our Norman Rockwell Drive! We will once again, feel complete back home, in Texas!

  1. The best news! I understand completely, we are long distance Grandparents too and it very hard. Our oldest daughter and her family have made the move back home to be close to us. Both of our daughters married Texans and it's very hard for them to leave! Good luck with selling, properties like yours are always in demand regardless the economy. It will sell in no time and you'll be off to Texas! Do you have a place to "land" when you get there? May I share the potpourri recipe?
