GARDEN ELEMENTS...THAT PEACEFUL, EASY FEELING!

Today is a beautiful day
in the Great State of Texas!
The high today will be 77 degrees F.
My little Zen succulent garden is in need of replanting.
It's on our "weekend gardening list!"

The azaleas are in full vibrant bloom.
We had THE most beautiful azaleas in our yard
in Jackson and also gorgeous giant azalea shrubs in Dothan.

Don't you just love garden flags?
This is the one I selected for spring!
It's fun to change them for each season, don't you agree?

Spring is such a gorgeous time of year...
everything is such a vibrant color!
The trees just form the most beautiful umbrella!

This is probably my favorite garden angel...
tucked between the Nandinas.

What's on your current reading list?
It is quite refreshing to read about our elegant
First Lady, Laura Bush and remember
a family that you could admire...
especially compared to what our current
Presidential election is reflecting today.

I never tire of looking out at the greenbelt!

If you live in Texas,
you can always count on it being a bit windy some days...
love how the trees softly sway on this lovely spring day.

This is my Daddy's garden angel...
always in honor and remembrance of him..
planted with Rosemary for Remembrance.

My little garden fairy with her solar light flower...
darling!

My fragrant Viola's arrived by mail yesterday..
all in very good condition..
another gardening to-do list..plant them in the pots!
I order from Roberta's Gardens every year
and they never fail to deliver beautiful and thriving plants.

Of  course, we all know that
food always tastes better outdoors...
wonder why that is?

THIS is my new obsession!
A multigrain baguette, spread with goat cheese, slightly toasted and all melty,
topped with fresh sauteed asparagus and San Marzano tomatoes!
Divine!!!

I know....this had you at "Hello", didn't it?
Estelle's version of a light strawberry shortcake...
frozen yogurt over angel food cake,
topped with strawberries and cream!

I hope you are out enjoying some sunshine today.
Never take a day for granted....

Hope you have great plans for the weekend!
Mae Mobley and I  always appreciate your visit to Estelle's!

  1. Good morning Betsy and Mae Mobley. So good to see you here at Thougts of Home on Thursday. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden elements and for the reminder to get out and soak it up! That's exactly what I'm going to do today. :)

  2. Oh I love your gardens. I like little surprises tucked into the plants, so I adore the angels and fairies. Well life is short, let's eat that dessert first. LOL. You are killing me girl. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  3. Unimaginable... With what is outside my windows. :-)

But enjoy your lovely Spring weather. Ours will finally, finally, finally come. We don't plant here, until Labor Day.

Oh and love seeing that Miss Mae is an indoor cat. Ours were. I simply don't want a cat to have to face all the "stuff" which is in the great outdoors. Our first was a stray, who adopted us. Clara was very happy to turn in her life on the street, for life in our home. :-)

  4. Your photos put me in such a serene mood. We're having a little topsy-turvy weather these next few days; back in jeans and long sleeve shirts! My easy reading is "United" by Corey Booker...now there's a politician I can get behind! XOXO

  5. Betsy, I always love visiting your beautiful place. Today we are having much needed rain. Your garden accents are just the sweetest! I'm in the middle of Marie Kondo's book Spark Joy! I've finished her first book on Tidying Up and I'm taking little tidbits of her advice. Enjoy your lunch on your gorgeous patio! ♥

  7. I enjoyed your post, Betsy! Beautiful blue skies, spring flowers, garden angels, scrumptious-looking food, and good reading. What's not to love? :) Yes, I long for the days when we had a respectable first family to look up to and a president we could count on to keep us safe. For eight years, I've been wondering how things could get worse, and now we have this election. Sigh.

Have a great day and a lovely weekend!

    Hugs,

    Denise at Forest Manor
