Perhaps turning a year older isn't such a bad thing after all....
We do know how to throw a good party!
This baby boy turned "30-something!" this past week
and
we all came together to celebrate
his life and times....
and
to watch the Dallas Stars game!
I was in charge of cupcakes!
We chose Devil's Food
and
French Vanilla
with
Milk Chocolate and Marshmallow Frostings!
BoBo was wondering what all the excitement was about...
and
was keeping a close eye on those dark thunder clouds rolling in....
Let me tell you loves...
this is a MILLION DOLLAR VIEW!
Looks like the cold front was going to come through
and
probably rain on our parade!
Meantime, back in the kitchen...
Greg's infamous and spicy Texas chili was bubbling
away in the crockpot!
Oh my tummy was growling at the mere
"sniff" of all this goodness....
Jenn decided her feature food
would be Walking Frito Pies!
Perfecto!!!
Oh yes please....
load mine up with all that fresh onion and cheddar cheese please!
And....
here she comes....
a rather cold spring rain!
Let's get this party started......
Are you kidding me....
Pigs in a Blanket?
Gone, I tell you....gone in a flash!!!
Gone, I tell you....gone in a flash!!!
I mean, who in world turns down
these little piggies?
Queso...on top of a Frito Pie....
Heaven......I'm in heaven......
How about some fresh hummus with
fresh veggies!
DELIGHTFUL!
Jenn always has the BEST decorations everywhere!
Everything FEELS like a celebration!
Hmmm....
must be a huddle on hockey talk!
I LOVED these.....
you should see the way these hurricanes reflect the candlelight!
The gods in heaven must have been smiling down
since the rains parted and the night was ours!
We have known this guy since he was a young teen
with blue hair no less...
This honey bunny....
is THE REAL ITALIAN!
Papa catching up with his granddaughter.....
Jenn enjoying her Frito Pie...
such a fashionista too!
Loved seeing The Birthday Boy having a good time with
family and close friends!
Obviously a quirky birthday message
between brothers!
I know this look....
a discussion about the Presidential race.....
Friends catching up with each other....
These are all THE nicest people ever!
Miss Abbie needed another cupcake
before the night was over!
My Mr. Wonderful and I were SO happy
that our #1 son
had a delightful birthday celebration!
We did pretty good with our kiddos's Mr. Wonderful....
we sure did!
What a fabulous gathering! All of that amazing food and I love the chalkboard messages! -Jenn

DeleteWhat a lovely gathering. And what a wonderful job you did, with capturing photos of it!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of camera do you use, please?
But the most important part... you have a family, who doesn't try to hide from photos. -sigh- Or "give the photographer grief"... -sigh-
Lucky you!

Good Morning Tessa! Thank you for your sweet comments! I use a 610. It was a gift from our children and we have had it for many years! Sometimes I also use my I-phone! Photography is very subjective and can be such a great hobby! It is lovely to capture the memories! Have a great week!
DeleteOops...forget to clarify Canon 610!
