DOWNTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT

Oh what great weekend we had!
The Texas doors flew open to welcome son #2 and his bride, Cat, along with grandchildren and friend in tow. First up....the first day of the last of a Volleyball tournament.

It was such a beautiful Saturday, so we whipped up hot ham and cheese sandwiches, fresh fruit, chips with dip and chocolate chip cookies then headed out by the pool for a little picnic.
Yes, the boys went swimming which I couldn't believe!
Honey, that pool is a bit too cold for me just yet, but they didn't seem to notice!

Would you believe most all of them draped themselves across a soft, comfy bed and
fell fast asleep the rest of the afternoon. They had an early 5 AM wake up call to attend the tournament, so a nap was definitely in order before heading downtown for dinner.
It was a delicious nap for them.

It had been a few months since we had been downtown, so this was such a treat for us!
Since the weather was so beautiful, everyone was dining outside and
enjoying our gorgeous Texas evening!

I thought we would enjoy a bit of window shopping while choosing where we wanted to eat dinner!

By this time, it was 8:00 PM and tummies were growling!

Noah brought his friend Luke for the weekend. These boys are too cute and so polite!
Good friends for years now and just the most enjoyable kiddos to have around.
Why is it that boys cannot resist a creekbed and come home with muddy wet tennis shoes?

Our granddaughter has had the best time ever playing on her Select Volleyball team.
She is growing up before our eyes.....too fast.
Driving lessons have started and thoughts of college are entering her goals.

Miss Cat decided she was going to sip on a spicy Bloody Mary.....or two!

Hey boys...pass those scrumptious onion rings down this way!

We had fun taking silly selfies!
Oh this child makes us laugh!

Silver division Ace winners!
What a great experience this was for all of these girls. When the season began, these girls did not even know each other. They came from different towns, different schools and had to form skills of working together on a select sports team. They formed great friendships, traveled to out of town tournaments and laughed all the time! This was just a great, great experience for all of them. I so hope they can somehow keep in touch, They all have a great support team around them with family and friends. Good times y'all! Good times!

  2. Hi There, What a fun weekend you all had! So glad the weather is warming up down there. Yes, it is impossible for little boys to stay out of the mud and streams and all things that say MUD...
