DINNER AND A MOVIE.....IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!

Saturday night is date night for my darling and me.
Oh how I love dinner and a movie!
We have a short jaunt over to our favorite hot spot which is in Plano, Texas.

I have been anticipating seeing The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and
I will tell you, neither of us were disappointed!
IT WAS MARVELOUS!!

Every single actor in this movie is top notch. Dev Patel is such a joy to watch! Bill Nighy is one of my all time favorite actors who plays the love interest of Dame Judy Dench. And....Richard Gere remains at the top of his game. Just wait until the wedding dance......it is GREAT!!!! Such a beautiful story told of aging, new found interests, love and relationships found in unexpected places......it's all inspiring....the vibrant colors of India and a life lesson to pursue your passion! I will watch this over and over again!

It's so fun to take in a good movie and then discuss the scenes and
the actors over cocktails and dinner.
The message sent seems to be that people have an enormous capacity to "blossom"
at any age...even at age 79! How marvelous is that?

Dinner was a happening place!
Love discussing a good movie flick over fresh seafood!

Except this night was a bit crowded and LOUD!
Everyone was out celebrating St. Patty's Day!

It's always good to "people watch" especially when there were some crazy sights with the
"wearing of the green!"

If you look toward the right of this picture, there is a little flash of green light....
those were flashing Irish earrings....lawd have mercy!

We are so happy to be back in Texas and we're hanging our hats and staying put!

  1. sounds like a perfect evening...

loved the first film, and am sure we will love the second. so wonderful, to have such films, do so well. but after all, there are so many of us, in the "getting olden'" age set, that it only makes sense to make more films, for us. duhhhhh the film people, who haven't figured this out.

and yes, I see the flashing green earrings!!!! lol...

  2. What a wonderful night you had. I am anxious to see that film, also, and it is good to know that it is a good sequel. That is not always the case, as we all know.
I love people watching, too. Glad you are home in Texas, too. xo Diana

  5. My husband and I saw The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel a few days ago and agree with you. A brilliant film with everything to like. The architecture of the old hotel, all the actors, the script, the Bollywood like wedding dancing, the feel of India. Super.
