A SPRING WEEKEND IN TEXAS

What's going on in the great state of Texas?

This was the perfect day for spring planting. Gray, cool and rainy!
I once learned from an old Mississippi gardener,
that this type of weather will ensure a good healthy crop of flowers.
Not that I envy these guys bending and twisting to plant new petunias in the flowerbeds.

Wish they were headed over to our front yard......

However, I will say that this little front patch of lawn
is the ONLY green space this house features.
The back is totally dedicated to a pool and entertaining area.
Seems like it would be a tad more enjoyable to plant the flowers yourself!
It takes all of five minutes to mow the grass.

Bo always enjoys his weekend visits to Nana and Papa's house!
His Friday night treat of a rawhide bone!

Relaxing........after a long work week.
I should have snapped a picture of Greg before he washed all the hair gel out...
he has a handsome Don Draper look,
although you wouldn't know it from this pic!

We enjoyed a supper of cheesy beef enchiladas and Spanish rice!

Time for weekend chores and a night out to dinner with Rob!
He was in Dallas for a Friday night concert
with old friends.
I love that they still get together and keep their friendships strong.

He requested a "trough" of his Mom's tuna casserole
and
Blueberry Muffins to take back to Austin with him.
Now that's one of the best parts of being "Mom!"
