THE FARMHOUSE TABLE....FRENCH COUNTRY INSPIRATION

Decorate with what you love!
I needed a touch of spring in the kitchen for entertaining the family and
 found my inspiration from Pfaltzgraff!

Once I saw this pattern, it just spoke to me of spring!
And the French Country look I was going for!

A new toile throw that makes the perfect table cover!
I love, love, love using quilts for tablecloths!
I found this one on Amazon and it is the perfect size for our
farmhouse table!

I can remember when selecting our wedding china, Mother advised me that all food should look appetizing on your dinnerware...breakfast, lunch and dinner!
She was so right and I carry that thought with me whenever I select a new pattern!

For the centerpiece, I layered two of my Southern Living plates, one of my Grandmother's blue and white onion plates, that lovely yellow linen placemat, two ironstone bunnies
and one of my topiary's I pulled from Mr. Big's office!
I then accented this with two of Mother's little Asian inspired petite urns.

I also decided to use our sterling silver with this setting.....Tara from Lenox!
Everything tastes better when eating with sterling!

See....there are those little accent pieces I had purchased earlier this month!

I also used my blue goblets!
These are just lovely......I have had these for years and rarely use them,
but I find them simply gorgeous!

It is a happy table!

Miss M thought it was just beautiful!

A cheery place for morning coffee and breakfast!

The bunnies are actually bookends!

The two southern living plates are from Tracy Porter
who designed for Southern Living at Home!
She resides in Madison, Mississippi!

If you find something beautiful and you put it together.....it works!

Tea for One teapot from Fitz and Floyd

I was quite pleased with using a few new pieces,
along with several decor pieces I have had for years!
The best part of creating a beautiful table is that all the
family members noticed it and appreciated the beauty!
That makes it all worth while!
I love seeing what everyone creates with their tablescapes!
Can't wait to visit y'all and see what inspires your for springtime!

  7. Just had to say that I love your blue and yellow table! My wedding china is Spode Blue Bird, blues and yellows, and I found inspiration in your combinations here. I would never have thought about using a throw but I love the padded look of that material under your dishes, and the touches of wood you've used.
