DECADENT

Dessert
Oh, this is a good cake!!! Darling LOVES German Chocolate cake! This recipe is a marvelous little twist on a well loved classic! It has ooey gooey goodness of cream cheese which bakes down to the bottom of the cake, on top of the pecans and coconut! When you slice it for serving, you simply flip the cake upside down! What a beautiful way to complete the feast with such a grand finale!
GERMAN CHOCOLATE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE
1 package of German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup flaked coconut
1 package (8 ounces) softened cream cheese
3 cups of powdered sugar
In a 9" x 13" baking dish, sprinkle the pecans and coconut. Mix cake mix according to the package directions. Pour the cake mix batter on top of the pecans/coconut. Blend your softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar and drop by tablespoons over the top of the batter. Bake @ 350 degrees F. for 35-40 minutes. When the cake has slightly cooled, cut into slices and invert on the serving plate!
You are so naughty!! This is my favorite kind of cake. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
