Him: "Do we have any chocolate in the house?"
Me: "No! We are dieting, remember?"
Him: "Well, it IS the weekend, and I think I REALLY need something chocolate! No cookies or candy?"
Me: "Nothing at all.....but perhaps I can bake a little warm chocolate cake for you...would you like that?"
Him: "I knew I loved you for many reasons....."

Lovin' from my oven!!
1 3/4 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup mini chocolate
chip
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
Set oven to 350 degrees
F. Grease an 8 x 8-inch
square baking pan.
In a bowl mix together the
first 7 dry ingredients.
In another bowl whisk the
water or milk with oil, egg, vinegar and vanilla; add to the dry ingredients and
mix until combined.
Sprinkle chocolate chips
and walnuts into the cake batter, and blend in gently. Spread into prepared baking pan and bake 30 minutes or
until cake tests done.
