AUTUMN EXPRESSIONS THROUGH ARTWORK AND FAVORITE QUILTS

 It's time...I am drawn to
this changing time of year
and the ever evolving look of our home
is beginning the transition....

the colors have been chosen organically
and I am so loving these gorgeous shades of the autumn season..

The plans for a transition into the fall season has been
underway since July and the dining table is the hub
of decor pieces I plan on using....
and the segway into this new season will begin with
the guest bedrooms and artwork......

I chose this romantic vintage countryside art print
which will be featured at my coffee/tea station..
I want a nod to fall with a romantic vibe....
the dominant color will be a rich cocoa brown
with accents of a deep olive and muted gray

I absolutely love these two pillows, in particular, I have for the fall season
which are from the Tommy Bahama decor line....

The fluffing always begin in the guest bedrooms and bathrooms
for a seasonal design which will create a feeling of coziness
and serenity.
The quilts and pillows have changed to fall colors and designs....

Some items that have been tucked away for months are now back
out for all to enjoy

This piece of art reminded me of the romance of the season

This year, I wanted to honor the fall season gently
by changing out the artwork to seasonal, vintage botanicals....

I placed this in one our guest bathrooms and it is soft and gentle..
I love it.....

My guest bedrooms hold many sentimental pieces from the past....
Since, I was a young child, I have loved birds and this
darling piece of vintage art just spoke to my soul....
a crow in a fig tree....

And lastly, for a change in artwork,
a lovely, vintage floral scroll

I have loved this quilt for years...it's from
the old Sturbridge Yankee Workshop located in Portland, Maine

This antique Jenny Lind Spool bed was my husband's as a very young child...
I treasure this....
Jack, the dog, was purchased for our grandson, Luke,
so I keep him on the bed just for him....

These are small, rather inexpensive updates that I made
to honor the fall season....small, yes, but impactful
to bring a warmth to our home.

  4. I really like the "books and roses" art piece. Would love that in my home. Can I ask where you found that? And I love the dried flower arrangement in the green vase. The "hey there pumpkin" pillow adds a special touch on the bed. Everything looks so nice, Betsy.
