CINNAMON TOAST AND COFFEE....CALM YOURSELF

The world changed.
Did you notice?
I doubt that we will see the return of
my childhood days...the way we were....
I thought it may be a good way to begin the week
by hanging out in this cozy warm kitchen...
A place I would like to spend the morning..
It just evokes a feeling of peace and contentment.....

It is rather interesting the effect that
the aroma of warm cinnamon toast and coffee
can have on you...all is right with the world.
It can be as simple as that!

Keeping calm is so right....
and
needed......

  1. Hi Estelle. I had cinnamon toast for breakfast. A safe and calm place to be this morning in our kitchens. I live in the province of Quebec. We awoke to news of a terrorist attach this morning. Never thought this wold happen in our peaceful province.
    The world has changed.
I'm happy to have found your blog yesterday. Have a good week.

  2. What cozy photos! I notice that the dark side likes to rise up in the face of righteousness, that's for sure. Yes, it is important to trust God and remain calm because many things are not what they seem. Thank you for sharing the equanimity.

    1. A very true statment Vee....things are not what they seem. I no longer will watch the main network news who now report "their opinion" rather than report the facts. I also woud like to wave a magic wand over all of "hollywood" and let them know their behavior and opinions do not matter! Enough! Have a wonderful week love! Hugs from warm and sunny Texas!

  3. I love these photos. What a wonderful kitchen!

In times like these, we'd like to go back to simpler times, but we can't. We must hold on to God and keep moving forward. But we can and must create havens in our homes for our families. Safe, warm and welcoming places.

You've done that with your beautiful post!

  4. Your home looks serene and I'm sure that helps in our troubling times. It helps to know God has everything in His control. So sad the world is as it is today, but rest in the serenity we can create for ourselves.

  5. Hi Betsy,

I LOVE, love these kitchens you've shown us!! The first one reminds me of an early American kitchen with the furniture and exposed beams, and the second looks like a quintessential English country kitchen. I love the Aga stove and the Emma Bridgewater mugs on the shelf above it. :)

Yes, my sweet friend, the world has indeed changed. I feel as though we are living in two separate countries right now, and I don't know if we'll ever get back onto the same page again. It's very disheartening. I'm in favor of what our new president is doing to try to keep us safe here in our own country and to try and preserve our way of life. We don't need to be in a popularity contest with the rest of the world. I feel that they can do what's best for them and there are times when we just have to do what's right and best for us. I feel that if the previous administration had been more vigilant and followed our laws on immigration, we wouldn't be in this predicament right now.

Have a lovely week, Betsy! :)

    Hugs,

    Denise at Forest Manor

  7. I could walk right in and set right down and call myself at home in that second photo!!
We have been away from news/TV and with very limited Internet. Sometimes it's good to unplug while the world goes on swirling around.....
