THIS......
is why August is my least favorite month!
I go outside to water all the plants and
then it's inside for the rest of the day!

So, just for a bright spot in the afternoon,
we treated ourselves to some Trader Joe's Sparkling Pink Lemonade
and some summer sugar cookies!
I will say we have enjoyed the summer scents of
Bath and Body Works candles!
I will try to remember to make a bright spot for the last of summer....
as I dream about the first snowfall.....
Pink bubbles...don't you just love bubbles!
The pause that refreshes......
Nothing fancy..
just slice and bake with a little
buttercream icing and sprinkles.....
What are y'all doing to stay cool these days?
I'm right there with you!! Except we water at night or after the sun goes down. Then we have a little time in the gazebo before bed. That lemonade looks good. I don't know why I didn't get some the last time I was at Trader Joe's!!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I think you would love their lemonade. It's light and very bubbly! Hope y'all are staying cool inside these days! Big hugs!
DeleteThat lemonade looks refreshing and your dog looks cool for the moment. Stay cool.
ReplyDeleteHe Terra. Lemonade is so great for summer! Piper has loved her pool. She is such a sweetie! Hope you are having a great summer!
DeleteHiding in the air conditioning! That's what I'm doing!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are fun. :)
Oh Betsy, you DO have hot temps., don't you? I think I would have a hard time living in Texas or Arizona because I don't know if I could take the heat there. Yes, I understand why you don't like August. It's not my favorite month either; the flowers are starting to look scraggly and we're all tired of watering. ;)
ReplyDeletePiper is so cute! Is he yours or one of your children's? The sugar cookies are so pretty with their summery colors, and I love that cup! :) It looks like Mary Engelbreit. We LOVE fall here at our house, but I feel guilty wishing the summer away. As I get older, I realize just how precious every day is.
Thanks for the pretty post and I hope you have a good week!
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
LOL...exactly Stacey....I go from the AC to the pool and back again! It's to be expected. Good luck selling your home!
DeleteHi Denise! It's a funny thing about seasons.....Texas is just about perfect really...the weather can change within an hour. While Maine has the most beautiul fall, winter lasted six months....could not stand that long cold winter. We lived in Florida and there was no change of seasons at all. We love Texas and are staying put! you are so right..each day is a gift! Hope you are having a great week..look forward to seeing what you're up to over at Forest Manor..big hugs!
ReplyDeleteAugust is much cooler than July here in Pennsylvania. We were in the 90s and 100s during July but August is in the 80s. And the humidity goes down. Watch now that I've said that the weather will make a liar out of me. Hope things cool off for you. I've been staying in the a/c a lot too.
ReplyDeleteHere in Montreal, Canada, we are having a very hot and humid week, which also keeps me indoors more because of the dangerous temperatures. Your photos are beautiful and refreshing. You have a lovely blog. :)
ReplyDeleteMontreal!!! How lovely Linda! It is hot everywhere I think so please stay nice and cool inside! I so appreciate your sweet comments and for stopping bu to visit today!
ReplyDeleteHey Kathy! Pennsylvania is such a beautiful state. How lucky you are to live there! I know you have been enjoying a good summer! Thank you so much for visiting today....big hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Pennsylvania too. It has cooled down some for us since August came. July was HOT! We hang out in the A/C when its HOT or humid!
ReplyDeleteHot here too in North Carolina! Some days, too hot to bake, but I love your idea to cool off, XOXO
