SYMPHONY IN THE PARK...I LUV FORT WORTH

It was DATE NIGHT!
Mr. Wonderful surprised me with
VIP tickets to the
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in the Park
Saturday night!
The feature
was
The Beatles Classical Mystery Tour!

I always tell him we need to "capture the moment......"

I normally capture only part of us in these selfies....
requires several "do-overs!"

We were a bit worried about the weather
due to all the rain and flooding we
have experienced this past week....
but it turned out to be absolutely perfect!
So across the Trinity we went
to
The Fort Worth Botanical Gardens!

Thank goodness I looked on Facebook
to see they were saying
"it's a bit soggy out here....
wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy!"

Sooooo....
I found my Maine rain boots
and thank goodness I did.....
it was pretty muddy indeed in some spots...
they did a great job spreading hay
everywhere however!
You should have heard all the comments from
the ladies who were trying to walk in all this mud
with good shoes, even heels, when they
realized I had the best idea of the evening!

It was a great start having cocktails,
listening to fantastic music
and
people watching!

The sun was just beginning to set in these
lovely gardens!

Everyone was enjoying their cocktails
and
elegant picnics before the concert began!
The darling said I did great with our little picnic!

The picnics were lavish at some tables...
champagne, cakes, pies, fresh seafood,
and
linen tablecloths....it was Texas style y'all!

We were having an absolute ball!!!

I tried to capture the bounty of food
this table was enjoying!

Yum...champagne and strawberries........

I loved this guy's shirt.....

The sweet couple at our table offered to snap a pic of us!
Then it began.....
the Symphony was AMAZING!!!!!
SIMPLY FANTASTIC!!!!!

The guys in this band
were spot on with their portfolio of
classic Beatle tunes.....

I asked the guy at our table
how old he was when he first saw the Beatles?
His reply?
"I never saw the Beatles!"
Me with a stunned look: "What?????"
He stated he was only five years old when the Beatles appeared in America...
Me: "Child please........."

I  think our favorite was
"HERE COMES THE SUN"
AND
"LET IT BE"
The night ended with a
SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS SHOW!
Oh what a night....
THANK YOU FORT WORTH!!!!!

BEST DATE NIGHT EVER!!!!!!

  3. You had a lovely time!

I take it, no flying insects and mosquitoes? They probably spray. I think they would have to.
