PARTY ANIMAL BIRTHDAY...JUST ADD SPRINKLES

Birthdays, no matter what your age,
are a celebration of life!

They should be fun, whimsical and showcase
all of your favorite things!

In June, we will be traveling to Atlanta
to celebrate Luke the Duke's EIGHTH birthday.
It's amazing how quickly the years fly by!
I really fell in love with this birthday pattern
referred to as "Party Animals!"

I have had the nursery book
of "Animal Crackers" ever since my children were tiny,
so I worked this idea into the decorations too!

This was just plain FUN to put together!
Polka dots, pinwheels, and pastels were among all the party supplies.

I had seen little play animals with party hats on Pinterest
so this became my DIY project for the past few weeks.

These little cookies have stood the test of time...
from our childhood all the way to the grandbabies....

Party favors are a must
at all birthday parties!

Who doesn't love a cupcake....with sprinkles no less?

It was really fun selecting the animals I wanted to include!

All this whimsy would make you certainly feel
"young at heart!"

I can hear the theme of
The Jungle Book playing in the background.....

Just add balloons, streamers and party horns!

I will say...
the Dalmation is my favorite!

Leo the lion......

Don't worry bout' your troubles and your strife......

Kanga and Roo......

Kisses for the birthday boy......

Elephants and Giraffe's....
 I love them both!

Precious, I tell you....precious!

I hope you gathered a little inspiration
for your next birthday party...
make those you love feel LOVED
on THEIR special day of celebration!

It promises to be a fun party!!!

  6. Hi Betsy - I, too, love the party theme, papergoods, all your decorations & cute animals wearing party hats! Tessa is correct - you are a neat and fun grandmother! I'm keeping this theme in mind for one of my grandson's next birthday. Would you mind sharing where you purchased the animals? Connie

    1. Hi Connie! Well aren't you just a sweetheart! Thank you! It's easy to be a fun grandma when your grandchildren are just precious!!! I know we all feel that way! That is great that you would like to do the same theme for your own grandson...love it! I purchased the animals from Amazon...they are called Learning Resource Jumbo Zoo animals. The paper goods are from

Caspari. Sometimes upscale paper good stores have them or you can find them at Amazon or the Caspari website! I fashioned the little party hats with left over scarpbooking paper! Have a ball with it!!!! Hugs!
