FARM STYLE CHARM

Now that we have started the new year
and
all of the Christmas decorations have been stored away,
we have a clean palette to play with.

I have to be "in the mood" to decorate, don't you?
I thought our farmhouse table looked somewhat bare for a few days,
so....it was time to see what I could find hiding in the buffet
to create a little happy vignette!

I love, love, love black and white!
All it needs is one pop of a vibrant color!

So......
I began with the farm style tray,
black and white checked napkins,
a little gray dairy creamer,
one pitcher from my little french patisserie collection,
a few pieces of black and white toile,
a natural looking topiary
and
the pop of color was the vibrant yellow spreader.

It's the art of self expression

Use whatever you have on hand
that will refresh your room and your spirit!

This pattern is 222 Fifth Adelaide

A touch of french country....just love that look!

All we need now are some hot buttery biscuits and jam.......

It's a bit rustic, mixed with charm
and
best of all.....it brought things I love out of hiding!

  2. I love the little cow. I saw one on Linda's Bits and Pieces once and just had to have one...so next time I went to one of my favorite junk stores I brought one home with me. It's white with blue flowers. I love that you used bl/wh and the yellow pop of color. Of course having it all sitting in a sweet tray is even better. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. It's so charming! And I love the background you are using these days...blue and white plaid...wonderful and fresh. (I can't change my background anymore. My blog is too old and full and doesn't allow me the options I once had.)

    1. "blue and white plaid"

And I see white and a very pale gray, background.

Ahhhh, the vagaries of color, and how it looks, on each computer screen.

Of course, I prefer the soft gray/white check. Perhaps my computer is so well trained, that it shows colors, as I would like them to appear. ,-)))

    2. Oh my goodness...the background I am using is gray and white check...if it appears as blue, perhaps the screen resolution needs to be adjusted. Good observation!
