FALL AROUND THE KITCHEN

Hi everyone!
How was your weekend?
Atlanta had a rainy, cool autumn few days
and
I know Mr. Jay was SO glad to finally be at home
after a month of traveling out of the country!

We were all anxiously awaiting his arrival
and how he would handle the meeting of his new family member.
Looks like it was puppy love at first sight!
Just look at those paws...
gonna be a big ole' girl!

Saturday night was made for a family night
and
cooking up a big pot of spaghetti...
I mean....
A BIG POT OF SPAGHETTI.....!!!!!

This is his famous Italian gravy
and
NO....
he will not give me his recipe!!!

I see that little sly smile....
Just like a true Italian handsome man....
it's an old family recipe.....

I told Miss M to please put my name on one of these freezer bags...
It's worth a flight to Atlanta, don't y'all agree?

Sunday mornings are meant for hot cinnamon rolls and coffee..
easy like Sunday morning......

It was a great football weekend....
The Aggies won,
Ole Miss won,
and
poor Texas..
suffered a heartbreaking loss....

Yes, my loves, it is still 90 degrees here in
the Great State of Texas
but
an Autumn weekend calls for a big pot of chili
and
homemade Firehouse cornbread
to watch the
Dallas Cowboy Game!

And...
Big Tex went up on Friday
so....
It's Texas State Farm time....
WHOOP!

What did y'all do fun this weekend?
Mae Mobley says,
"Hi!"

  1. Good morning to you. It's a beautiful sunny morning out in eastern Canada and the temperature will be in the mid 70's which is 10 degrees warmer than normal for us so we'll take it! Your table is so pretty and the chilli looks delicious. We went to a corn maze at the local apple orchard yesterday which was a lot of fun. Then we watched the lunar eclipse last night - amazing! I hope you have a great week. Blessings, Pam

  2. That second photo is priceless! I imagine the new pup has been wondering where this other person was as I'm sure that she has sniffed his presence. No wonder that she is happy to finally meet him!

  3. So fun to get photos of your Atlanta family. I bet Miss M and your grandson are happy to have him home. What a sweet dog!

We had a chore day here on Saturday, then had friends over after church. We stayed up late to watch the eclipse, too.
