BEAUTY FINDS FOR SEPTEMBER

“Honey, time marches on
 and
eventually you realize
it is marchin' across your face.”
~Truvy Jones

I LOVE MAKE UP!
I mean, who doesn't want to look their very best?
I am so sad when I waste money on products that don't work!
As we age, it becomes evident that our skin
begins to show the signs of aging...tiny fine lines and wrinkles
are much more visible!
So when I try new products and love them,
I want to pass my favorites on to you!
These are my current favorites!!!

I have tried Physician's Formula a few times in the past,
but this adorable packaged foundation caught my eye.
I simply adore Rose Gold and was actually looking for a new make-up brush,
so I decided to give this new foundation a try.
I LOVE THIS....I LOVE THIS!
I am always searching for a foundation that works with
my aging face. A foundation that is light, yet covers well
and goes on smoothly.
This just may be my favorite of all times....love the brush too!
I called Miss M when I first applied this and told her
it was just marvelous!

I also purchased Garnier SkinActive BB cream.
It is a bit more shiny than I normally prefer,
but I am liking it on my hands...it works great
when I am out at the pool for a tinted sunscreen!

The second fall favorite for my hands is
Wet and Wild Nail polish....
it is glossy, does not chip easily when working in water
and the color I selected is
215B...Haze of Love!

I really enjoy Garnier products!
Their Green Apple and Green Tea Shampoo and Conditioner is HEAVENLY!
It is not heavy and leaves the most delightful scent not only on your hair,
but your entire bathroom.....just love this product!
(sorry I turned the conditioner upside down)

Their Moisture Rescue Gel has been on my vanity for a while now...
I will NOT be without this gel cream...it is marvelous for your under eye area!
Very, very refreshing and gentle!

My favorite new blush...Maybelline FIT ME!
For fall I selected deep coral!
Again, this is light, goes on smooth and gives just a soft glow!

I confess, I am a lipstick junkie...
I was REALLY excited about these two new lovelies...
These are from the
L'Oreal Color Riche Lilly Pulitzer line...
not only is the tube beautiful, but these are actually gloss.....
I love them both....
very moisturizing and does not dry your lips out like some lipsticks will do..
the colors I selected are
101~Rose Medley
202~Coral Encore

For eyes....
I tried a new product from Wet N' Wild..
this palette of shadows which were just the colors I wanted for fall...
I love how the colors are identified for specific eye areas.
Just a great price for eight shadows!

One last new favorite.....

Don't you love it when you try new products that really work for you!
I hope you found something you want to try.....
I would love to hear about your new beauty finds too!

  1. Thanks for all these recommendations. I have used different brands over the years with varying results. My eyes are very sensitive and something I was using was making my eyelids actually peel and bleed. I don't know what it was but I threw everything out and started over. What I use now is Julep. I have found it to be a wonderful brand that suits be perfectly. From hydrating cream to nailpolish to lipstick to eye makeup everything has suited me to a T. So that's what I'm sticking with for now.

    1. Good Morning Kathy! I have heard very good things about Julep! I so appreciate you sharing what you have tried and like! I would really like to go "cruelty free" on all beauty products so that no animal testing had been done on the products I buy! Thank you for leaving a comment and I wish you a beautiful day! Hugs!

  2. I like great products too. I think I have gone too long ...not worrying about my skin. Fragrance is the biggest mistake most women make....they wear way tooooo much. My sister -in- law is one. So sad.. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  4. Just recently came upon your blog and love your tablescapes and recipes. They look so warm and welcoming and the recipes look yummy. I noticed in your fall table setting that we have the same owl mugs from Costco. I bought a set for my daughter-in-law and she loves them, too! I love to read beauty product recommendations from other women and will try the Physician's Formula foundation. I purchased the St. Ives Coconut and Orchid Lotion after you showed it. I never knew St. Ives made that and coconut is a favorite scent of mine. As for products I like, I am all over on most hair, body and makeup products. I like both high-end and many drugstore lines. If I purchase the same item more than once, it is really working for me. Right now, the things in that category are Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo (smells wonderful and gives my hair body), Maybelline the Falsies Volum' mascara (skipped around and came back to this - creates thick, long lashes), and e.l.f. High Definition powder (LOVE THIS .. every bit as good as MakeUpForever's and sets my makeup perfectly with no build up). Thanks for the fun post.
