Our annual early spring visit from
The Divine Miss M and Luke the Duke
was a delightful four days!
She had no problems with her flight
and arrived in time for cocktails
and a dinner of roasted chicken!
Out youngest had also arrived from Austin
so it was a family reunion of sorts!
Friday night was Spaghetti night
with our middle son and family joining us for the day!
This was a new recipe I tried out on the family
and it proved to be a huge success!

I have wanted to make this dessert for a long time
and decided it just may be the perfect sweet ending with this dinner!

This is Barefoot Contessa's Chocolate Mocha Ice Box Cake!
It too was scrumptious with a taste much like Tiramisu!

Saturday evening we tried out a new restaurant in Addison
which featured all southern foods..
We seem to have a great time wherever we go!

We had delightful weather and are fortunate
to have several park areas throughout our neighborhood
so Luke could have a few hours of playtime!

This is Paisley....perhaps a face only a mother could love,
but she is THE sweetest, most well behaved puppy ever!

This was her first visit to Grandma and Papa's house and she
was just a love bug.....
was just a love bug.....
She is a great traveler and so good around other dogs and people!
Mae was not pleased of course, to have her as company,
but Paisley was just curious but respectful and kept her distance!

Paisley had been passed around from person to person as a young puppy,
until our grandson brought her home with the idea of finding her a permanent
adoption, and the family quickly fell in love with her....so Paisley
found her forever home!

We all are in love with her.....she's a very special dog for sure!
Out last evening was spent on the patio
grilling steaks....and catching the beauty of this
beautiful sunset....
These visits become more and more meaningful
to us and we both relish the moments!
