REVIEW OF SUMMER IN SAN FRANCISCO AND ATLANTA

We say good-bye to July and as a matter of fact....
I'm closing out the books on Summer 2019!
I plan on extending my enjoyment of the fall season
to begin in August...with planning and preparation!
So, I thought it was the perfect time to highlight
the summer season out in California and over in Atlanta!

Sweet Rusty has become a regular at his second home away from home...
Rusty belongs to Greg's coworker and often stays with Greg and Jenn
when his coworker travels out of town.
He is well loved and has become quite a lovebug for them both!

They have both adjusted well to their new home and surroundings...
they never run out of new places to try and have found
several favorite dining places!

Weekends are meant for exploring and discovering....

Jenn got a kick out of coming across this cupcake booth
named after her!!!!!!

They have some gorgeous parks nearby for the Bobo....

Since they have had some really hot, hot days.
they decided to buy a little swimming pool for Bo...but
he wasn't quite sure what to do here.....
perhaps he needs a bit more practice!

Oh Bo and little Rusty....it's a darling friendship....

Over in Atlanta.
the master bath renovation is coming to an end.
They are now down to the details, like drawer hardware.....

This was a long four month remodel....
but the end results turned out beautifully...
I think it was no easy task to pick all the details....
harder than one would think.

The entire design was created by
our son-in-law, Jay...he has a real gift
for this....it's amazing!

I know she's trying to decide on rugs to be placed
over their new hardwoods....

Miss M says she loves their new bath...
it feels like a spa and the shower...oh honey,
the shower is large enough for the entire family!!!

They are not real happy with the mirrors, however
which were chosen by the Contractor...
these will be changed out in the near future...

I think choosing new accessories is a fun final finish....
they have done an outstanding job at this gorgeous update,
and we cannot wait to see it all in person!

Texas has been blessed with a rather mild Summer....
so it has been so pleasant to sit outdoors by the pool
and read my books I chose for this season...I plan to do a little more of this!
In a few weeks, the school buses will be running and then,
we can turn our thoughts to fall.....oh yes, yes!

  1. It's amazing that its nearly August already! We start back to school in August so my mind goes to autumn things as well, but I'm trying to hold out until after peach season is over! September will be here in a blink of an eye!

Looks like the family is all doing well. That bathroom in Atlanta is lovely, but I agree those mirrors aren't up to par with the rest of the room!

  2. Looks like a busy summer , with some fun times too. Here's to those fun times, making great summer memories. I am ready for a cool down, but it's breaking my heart that summer is ending. For July to be over is almost shocking . It seems to have happened too fast. I did notice that it's not getting daylight as early now...so sad. I love those super quiet early morning times. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  3. That bathroom remodel makes me swoon. Wow! How beautiful. I don't even see anything wrong with the mirrors, but then I am a rube. I'll probably see it if you show a comparison at some future point. I can't believe that you're quitting on summer two months early, but then I don't live in Texas. I am clinging to summer this year for all it's worth. Winter and spring were long and hard.

    1. Oh dear Vee....hope you are doing ok...been thinking of you! Yes, I would be hanging on to Summer if we were still in Maine, but Texas summers are pretty hot! Although, this year has been terrific! Maybe it would feel differently if school started after Labor Day like it used to be!!! Thank you for your kind words on Miss M's remodel...I myself, cannot wait to try it out! So loved having you visit today..big hugs!

  5. Although I love fall, I am not ready to give up on summer just yet. Our winters are cold and long. I just loved seeing your SF and Atlanta pictures. That bathroom is to die for.

    1. I would feel the same way Kathy...hanging onto Summer in your area is so true...the winters were often brutal and so, so long in Maine...but, your state is just so beautiful! Wishing you a great weekend love!
