Do you love early mornings?
Isn't the first cup of coffee glorious?
Mother used to just love that!
Do you prefer your dining table clear of everything
or
a complete tablescape to reflect the season?
I love to enjoy the pretty things most of the time,
but then I get in the mood to clear the counters and the tables
for a cleaner look....no clutter....
There is not a day that goes by that Mae and I don't do a photo shoot.....
Is there anything more beautiful than your beloved pet in a sunbeam......
It's her favorite spot in the morning hours.....
Oh the sheer deliciousness of sunbeams.....
Have a great weekend loves!
Betsy, I absolutely love seeing Mae sunning herself. She is so soft and pretty. When my daughters were small...my favorite cup of coffee was sitting in the chair near an open window smelling the neighbor's fragrant lilacs drifting in , while my sweet daughter were still sleeping. It gave such a peace to my heart. Back then I was drinking instant coffee too. LOL. How our lives change. Blessings to you and thanks for bringing that memories to my mind. XOXO, Susie
ReplyDeleteThis is a marvelous and wonderful thought...I can see you doing this and the fragrant lilacs....the best shared comment this summer dear Susie...hugs and blessings to you also..
DeleteI do look forward to that cup of coffee first thing in the morning. I often open the patio doors and listen to the birds. Then when the sun comes around, I button up the house. Just yesterday, I was looking at photos of the cats sleeping in the sun. They do know all the best spots. I have never considered having the dining table all decked out with dishes, though I do enjoy the look. My dining table is too often used as a landing strip for all incoming items from mail to groceries.
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful Vee...it's a peaceful time of the day...have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by!
DeleteSuch pretty sunbeams streaming to your table, Betsy. Peaceful beginnings to our days expand to happy days. I like to begin the morning in quiet reflection. Miss Mae sure adds to your joy. She's such a lovely kitty. Enjoy your weekend. ♥

ReplyDeletethere seems to be only one word for mae mobley... and really yourself for that matter.
and that word is luxurious.
her fur and grace. and your love of all beautiful things and all the little myriad treasures of moments in the everydayness of living that count. is everydayness a word?
this summer is literally whizzing by. but since autumn and winter are my favorite... hmmm...
I can't say that I'm crying over it! lol

DeleteI am like you--I love a pretty table and then will get tired of looking at it and clear the table and counters, etc., for a nice, clean look for a while. Love the pictures of your kitties. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThank you Diana....sometimes nothing at all seems perfect doesn't it? Hope you enjoy the weekend!
DeleteSunlight streaming through the windows in the morning is so lovely! By afternoon I'm closing curtains and pulling down blinds to keep the heat out of the house!
