A few weeks ago, we learned the plight of Miss Molly. A young cat...found by chance by a kind hearted soul who rescued her and began the search of a home....a safe place to rest. A young cat who had been abandoned and worse yet, obviously with babies on the way.
I am a follower of Deb who writes a beautiful blog
on her life as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
She happens to be cat-sitter!
Here is where we first learn the story of Molly.
Word of mouth may be a powerful thing. I have talked about the story of Molly since I first learned of her. I worry about homeless and abused animals....always have.
My sister, who rescues cats also, more than she can afford to, was relaying this story to a friend at a Thanksgiving church dinner just last evening. As she was telling the story to her friends, one of them replied, "I don't quite understand why your sister is donating to a shelter in Canada when there are plenty locally that she could send money to!" My sister replied, "Because she has followed Molly's story for a few weeks and this is what touched her heart....."
Good answer! Word of mouth and prayers can work toward giving Molly and nine little kittens a happy ending.
Oh my goodness, this is very kind of you to post this for your followers. I am amazed at all the people who have been touched by Molly's story. Thanks you so much. I will be sure that Donna, the lady who rescued Molly off the street just before she gave birth to nine kittens, sees this lovely post. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteI hope it helps. At least they are safe and warm for now.....I so wish they find loving hearts and homes. Many thanks Deb!
DeleteHello - thank you so much for helping us to help Molly! Everyone's kindness has been very heart-warming!
ReplyDeleteNo Donna...thank YOU! An angel on earth...many blessings for helping this sweet girl and all of those babies! I appreciate your kind comment!
DeleteI too have been touched by Molly's story and I have donated twice to her care. Nine kittens, can you imagine? How sweet of you to write about this. I've talked about her to many others also. I also live in the USA but I'm helping Molly because she touched my heart...great answer!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
Aw, Linda....how kind of you to visit Estelle's and share your thoughts on Miss Molly. If we both lived closer, I am certain they would find homes....today they are "golden"...in a safe place. We will continue to spread the word and hopefully, our prayers will be heard! Thank you love.
