SPRING CLEANING and A VISIT TO THE RANCH

Our son, along with his beautiful bride spent
Saturday out at Liz's ranch...a warm spring day,
walking the fields and spending time with their horses...

Just as the sun was setting.......

Every Spring for some tine now, I make it my mission,
to scale down the closets and cupboards...
if I have not used something in more than a year,
I donate it and feel lighter and more content for doing so!
My closet looks so much neater and more organized....
however, it is indeed hard to part with my beautiful
high heels.....alas, the aging process no longer
allows for heels I'm afraid...makes me sad, but it is what it is!

auf Wiedersehen Liebling

I have two sets of Pfaltzgraff dinnerware I no longer used,
and my daughter- in -law spoke up for both sets....

I bought this some time ago and loved using this in the fall season...
now going to their home and used for gatherings and celebrations
loved those mugs.....

It's good to declutter every year.....amazing how much
we can accumulate isn't it?

Sunday mornings are meant for pancakes....
a very quiet Sunday...
it's good napping weather..
hope y'all had a good weekend....

  1. Betsy, I surely understand about the high heals. I get shoe envy when I see a pretty pair on someone and remember I will never wear them again. I just feel there needs to be a better selection in flats for dressy time. So wonderful your children will have the dishes. I love the horses. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  2. Oh you have beautiful shoes. Do any of the gals in the family wear the same size? I'm sure that you'd have takers there, too.

  3. Shoe sadness for sure. And with my hoarding tendencies the post made me a wee bit anxious. Ha! I commend you for decluttering and will use this as incentive to do the same. It ain't easy.

    1. Hi Tobe....I do feel better for donating items I no longer wear or use....why would we just hang on to those items, right? I will admit, I sometimes have second thoughts and put a few things right back in the closet.....my secret! Thank you so much for stopping by today@ Warm hugs!

  4. Love seeing the horses! I’ve been decluttering too and the “light” feeling is so rewarding. I’ve had to give up all my beautiful heels too. Not fun is it? ☹️ I just don’t feel as dressy as I did with them and it’s difficult to find flats or sandals that are beautiful & affordable. Have a blessed week!

    1. Hi Pat! I think I'll need some inspiration on dress shoes for this age...I have pretty flats, but it seems like something is missing. I feel better that others feel the same as I do.....Mother always told me aging was not for sissy's@ We have cold weather once again...hope you are having a great start to Spring! Hugs to you!

  5. The ranch looks beautiful and sounds like a nice place to spend he afternoon. As for decluttering, it looks as if you are doing a great job. How wonderful that your family is taking some of your things, you will still see them at family gatherings. Stat warm this weekend, I think I read that it is going to get cold down there.
