because it's economical, easy and always turns out delicious!

BLUEBERRY BISCUITS
2 1/4 cup baking mix
1/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 cup fresh blueberries
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Mix baking mix and sugar.
Add buttermilk and stir to combine.
Add blueberries at the time you have a few more
strokes of mixing together...being sure to gently fold
in the berries.
Drop on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 12 minutes.
The Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons milk
Glaze the biscuits when hot from the oven.
Now, you're ready to enjoy a bite of these
moist, incredibly delicious biscuits!

Remember, if you do not have buttermilk on hand,
you can make your own by adding a Tablespoon of lemon juice to one cup of milk!

Yum - that's a keeper. We visited the flour mill in San Antonio, Texas that produces the Pioneer products (loved the Gift Shop & Tea Room) - It's a happy memory of our sight-seeing tour.

ReplyDeleteIn my state, Pioneer is found at WalMart, Publix and Winn-Dixie stores. Their website lists retailers. Their gravy mixes in envelope are delish. Guenther Flour Mill was started by the German immigrants who are a big part of Texas history..
