I wait all year for the day fall really arrives...
it's cold and rainy.....
I mean as in 42 degrees cold.
We can turn on the heat and enjoy a fire in the evening...I love it!
The cold wind is blowing the rain sideways which
will help in turning the leaves a beautiful golden color.
While shopping with Rob in Austin, I came across
this Pioneer Woman dutch oven, which I had been wanting
for some time, but was always out of stock...they had ONE....
it must have been my lucky day!
I plan on using this for all sorts of soups and stews this fall and winter.
Now is this beautiful on the cooktop or not?
I also picked up this adorable spatula from Thyme and Table.
Are you ready to just cocoon and wrap yourself in luxury?
Betsy, It was 29 degrees here in central Indiana this morning. Oh yes, a beautiful pot of soup and coziness. That is a pretty Dutch oven too. I love the Pioneer Woman dishes and pans . I may pick some of that soup mix up today. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI love your new soup pot! That will surely make every soup taste better!
ReplyDeleteI am! Today I’m going to dress in warm layers and will be spending the afternoon and evening in Dallas with the quads! Their backyard is a green belt with a huge creek and I’m hoping I get to walk down there and sit on the bench and enjoy the fall experience.....at least for a few minutes!
ReplyDeleteSoups and beans are my favorite fall, winter and even spring meals!
YES!
ReplyDeletewho couldn't be happy with soup cooking in that beautiful pot? there is nothing like a cold rainy Autumn day!
It certainly has turned chilly. Since I am, as I visit, making chicken soup after doing yard work this afternoon, I am ready to be cozy. You stay cozy, too. That PW! What a gal!
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a soup person, but that Pioneer Woman pot would look wonderful with some of my stews in it. It's so pretty! It's getting cold here too. I do not like cold weather because I have both pain from my arthritis and trouble breathing from my asthma in the cold. I do like to sit at the kitchen table and sit my tea or hot chocolate and look out at my yard, though.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dutch oven. Mom had one like this with fruit and flowers decorating it. I miss it. I let it get too hot in the oven and the brown never came out. I guess heat was too high. I used lots of years before it happened though. I love the one you have and it does decorate the stove top nicely.
ReplyDeleteSoup looks so good in it. A cozy post with the soup and the rain plus having a fire makes for a fine evening. It's chilly here but not quite as chilly as where you are.
Love this fall and enjoyed reading your post.
betsy
That Dutch oven is so pretty it just makes me happy looking at it and that's before the soup or stew is even cooking in it.
ReplyDeleteSoups, stews, fireplace warming the house . . . no gardening to do, no canning to do . . . all replaced with time of getting cozy with a good book and time for quilting. This is my relaxing season. I'm more than ready to enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a warm and homey post, I certainly enjoyed my visit.
Have a sweet day.
Connie :)
