COTTAGE CORE BLUE and MOSS GREEN

Welcome back to Estelle's my kindred spirits...
today the sun is shining down and
I find this warmth to be such a marvelous thing.....

My desire has returned to begin my spring transformation
in decorating our home and what came to mind,
was a country cottage core vibe of soft blues,
with a touch of muted green.....yes, that is what I am going with...

I love decorating in lighter colors for spring and  Easter
and I know you will probably ask, what is the inspiration
you draw from for a "country" cottage core vibe?

Well, I draw my design from the things I love....
it's a romantic version of rural life....
flowy dresses, ginghams and floral patterns...
vintage botanical prints, gardening and picnics.....

And, as always, I first choose the color story....
And, the surprise that bonus that comes with these colors
is that I can change the look to the table by changing
the primary color feature....

Creating a special look at your dining table, can make your meal
an "experience" and not so much like an ordinary dinner....

Use some of your favorite things and remember the details....
a centerpiece is not always about a floral arrangement....
little things mean a lot, don't they?

  1. Love that you can use things that you love and change everything up a bit. I am doing the same thing but I am waiting for my son to come get some furniture for his new home. It is too heavy looking for the home we are in now. Mid-March is the magic word there.
Everything looks like Spring to me, Betsy! I love blue, too, and wish I had kept my blue willow dishes but....I have 4 or 5 complete sets of dishes that I rotate already. lol. xo Diana

  3. I've been living with those colors except for soot for about 15 years. Blues run a bit in every room. Our living room was the lighter green, we were hoping to repaint...just because the jar of green is dead now we had for touch ups!...my dark is multi Woods...and two cranberry red chairs and a bit here and there of the reds! good luck!

  4. I'm loving my spring to summer decor - even though I still have four fully decorated Christmas trees to take down. Step by step. I'm in no hurry as I do all my decorating just for me even if no one else ever sees it. It's what I do and what I love......
Love the way you bring each season a fresh touch....
