CHRISTMAS EVE and CHRISTMAS DAY OF 2022 GATHERING

CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY OF 2022...
it was wonderful...it was marvelous!
Let's take a look at our family gathering.....

I remember how magical Christmas Eve felt as a child....
the lights, the tree, the decorations....the Christmas specials on TV..
all of Mother's decorations ...the special holiday foods.....
you could anticipate the arrival of Santa at some point in
the nights hours...and, the angels singing of the birth of Jesus....
that was Christmas....always.....
It's good to carry those memories with you in your heart...
and count your blessings as family gathers to celebrate....

The darling and me

Our darling Robbie and me....our youngest..
he's an absolute treasure.....

The desserts were displayed in the formal dining room...
the appetizers were on the kitchen island...

I did not take photos of all the appetizers but I did take one of a new
delicious one I made this year......

This went quickly...it was so delicious
take a Boursin Cheese, dredge in flour, egg and Panko..
bake at 410 degrees for 30 minutes....drizzle with hot honey.....

Our son Nick and me

Trying out the Little Smokies in the crockpot....
along with Carolina BBQ sauce

Grandbabies and her love...

Christmas in a Cup Champagne....

then it was time for games......

Christmas Morning Mimosa's....

Breakfast Casserole with warm pastries....

Time to head to our son's home...to celebrate Christmas Day...

What a beautiful tree.....

Preparing the feast....

A family Christmas in Atlanta....we missed them dearly......
I so hope you had a lovely Christmas celebrating with those
you love....treasured memories....I loved every moment......

  3. Oh Betsy, what a wonderful Christmas with your family. I saw mine a week before, and it was so good to see everyone. You look so cute in your furry hat and scarf. That's something I need here in the mountains. Your son's home is decorated so nicely. I love that pretty table runner. The breakfast casserole with the pastry is a perfect breakfast for Christmas. These are sweet photos of you and your sons. Mothers and sons have a special relationship, don't they? Your fudge looks amazing. I sometimes crave fudge, and yours looks so Yummy. My neighbor sent me some fudge she made this Christmas. Your post was delightful in every way. Happy faces all around.

    Have a bright new year!

  4. Betsy, thanks for sharing the lovely Christmas photos. As Sandy mentioned in the first comment, you are truly inspiring. You inspire me to get off my butt and do better. LOL! Also, I want to thank you for that Boursin appetizer recipe as I will be trying it. I got some Hot Honey as a Christmas gift and I didn't have a clue what to do with it. Thanks and Happy New Year!
