OUR FEBRUARY ARTIC BLAST

Good Morning all you lovely people...
how in the world are y'all doing this February morning?
Texas was on alert for our winter storm blast and
it arrived early evening on Wednesday....
oh the anticipation of snow was on our minds....... 

Mae loves to be "on patrol" every morning....
fascinated by birds and squirrels......

The darling drove about 40 miles to find
the faucet protectors...we learned to have
these on hand after that horrible winter freeze
we experienced  last January.....

Now how perfect is this on an icy day in February?
Tomato soup and pimento cheese on rye!!!!

Also, baked a batch of banana nut muffins in the afternoon.....

And, here we are....GOOD MORNING TEXAS......

I was so grateful for power this morning so we
could enjoy a delicious hot breakfast of bacon, eggs and grits!

Ice Hockey for the kiddos....
love seeing them play!
I hope they enjoy a cup of hot cocoa after this.....

What's a snow day without hot cocoa?

Miss Liz shared some photos of her ranch this morning....
she's a wonder...Elizabeth is just a tad older than I am
and takes care of her big ole' ranch by herself.....
putting hay out for the horses....

And bringing them in from the pasture to keep
warm in the barn...
all snuggled in their blanket coats!

Granddaughter Abbie, texted us a photo
of Maverick looking all dashing in his turtleneck!!!!

So all is good in the neighborhood darlings.....
grateful for a warm house, a hot meal and a cozy fire!
