So many of you requested another flatbread
recipe from a previous post,,so here we go!
This is a delicious alternative to pizza
and would be marvelous for lunch, dinner or
even an appetizer!
This is another favorite recipe from our
HELLO FRESH dinners....
Y'all enjoy this one!
There is a divine Honey Chili Drizzle
which is a perfect finishing touch for this
savory flatbread.
5-6 slices of bacon
1 can of corn
1 Poblano Pepper
4 Scallions
1 small Red Chili
2 flatbreads
1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend
2 t. honey
Cook bacon in saucepan until crisp
and then place on a side plate.
Reserve a small amount of bacon grease, drain the rest.
Drain half the corn from the can and use the rest.
Core and seed poblano pepper, chop into 1/2 inch pieces.
Thinly slice the scallions.
Thinly slice the chili, removing seeds.
Wash your hands after handling the red chili.
Heat the drizzle of reserved bacon grease
and saute the poblano, scallions and corn.
Cook for about three minutes and
season with a touch of salt and pepper.
To assemble the flatbreads,
place each on a baking sheet.
Sprinkle with cheese, top with veggie mixture
and crumble bacon on top.
Season with pepper.
Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted..
about 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and cut into slices.
Sprinkle with diced red chili
and drizzle with honey.
